FREE Potty Training DVD With Games & Songs

Phew...it's been a LONG week! (Posting had to take a bit of a backseat, unfortunately). Still much more to do this weekend, but somehow it seems better knowing it's the weekend!

We're in the beginning stages of potty training, and I got an e-mail this morning from Huggies about a FREE DVD you can order from them that includes games and songs. Of course, who knows if they really make a difference, but figure we'll see if it inspires some potty time! If you want to give it a shot too, head to the pull-ups.com site.

Not Your Typical Lullaby Music

If you're sick of the usual baby lullabies (or you're just a big fan of a rock band), check out these CDs (Rockabye Baby) of rock songs turned into instrumental lullabies. You can hear a sample of each on the site (in fact, if you click on the album, you can hear a sample of each song). I must say, some I heard were quite good; others, not so sure. But see what you think! A few of the artists: U2, The Beatles, Radiohead, Journey, Guns N' Roses, Queen, Nine Inch Nails (quite the variety). $16.98 each.

Fun Kids Music From Barenaked Ladies

I first heard music from Barenaked Ladies' Snack Time on the Sirius radio kids station. Lots of silly fun! Many of the beats are great for kids to dance to, and the lyrics are even entertaining for parents. I haven't heard all of the songs in their entirety, but of the few I've heard, my favorites are the "Crazy ABCs" and "There's a Word for That." You can order the CD or do a sample listening at amazon.com. You can also order an MP3 version of the album or just individual songs.
